Relationship agreement with Te Rūnanga ō Ōtākou

Today saw the long awaited signing of a relationship agreement between Te Rūnanga ō Ōtākou and the Department of Biochemistry. Donna Matahaere-Atariki (chairperson) signed on behalf of the Rūnanga, and Catherine Day on behalf of the Department.

Members of the Department gathered in the reading room for the signing. Professor Tony Merriman spoke  about his research on gout, which will be the foundation project of the relationship. Staff in the department look forward to working with the Rūnanga to identify research and educational opportunities on which we can work together.
