Dr Stephanie Hughes had the honour of having a photographs used as the cover image on the latest issue of Human Gene Therapy.
The image relates to her paper Lentiviral-Mediated Gene Transfer to the Sheep Brain: Implications for Gene Therapy in Batten Disease, published in that issue, and depicts sheep nerve cell cultures transduced with a lentivirus expressing green fluorescent protein and co-labeled for the astrocyte marker in red; the nuclei of all cells are stained blue. The photograph was taken by Kate Linterman.
